6-7 might be much but i'd just like to start seeing him fight again and i know he wouldn't have a problem doing it. i think the ufc definitely rushes fighters into title fights for no good reason other than to make a huge quick buck. pride was great for exactly not that reason.

This could be it if you think about it, Henderson doesn't have anyone lined up to fight and niether does Franklin. They could be just waiting on Anderson to see how he does at LHW, if he beats Irvin than he gets a title shot( i don't think he deserves it but this is likely the plan imo)

My opinion is Anderson Silva is not marketable at a title holder position. I believe the UFC really wants Hendo or Franklin in that spot and pushed Silva to fight at LHW and fed him some bonus money to jump ship. I believe if he crushes Irvin you can bet he is moving on up with the help of some dollars in his pocket from the UFC. If he loses, Silva/Okami will happen in October or November for the MW Championship.

I think the UFC needs to have more fights for their top 10 fighters in each weight class. Hendo waiting 8 months for a fight is ridiculous. They should be having their top 10 guys in each division fight every 6 months rain or shine and have a championship fight every 6 months barring serious injury in each division.
