If the UFC doesn't have them fight then the contract is voided after a certain length of time (or prior by the UFC) and the guy is allowed to fight anywhere.

My guess is one or two fights or 6 months. Whatever comes first.

That to me wouldn't make me feel like I had a contract. I'll give you an example. The guy that won America's Got Talent last year is a ventriloquist. Simon Cowell is the executive behind America's Got Talent. He had a contract that gave him rights of first refusal but the contract didn't gurantee the other guy of anything. So after he won the show, Simon didn't elect to do anything with him making him free to go elsewhere. It's funny to note though that after Cowell cut him loose, he signed a 100 million dollar show contract with the Mirage in Vegas.

This sucks for Tim. I though he won the fight with CB. He'll be an entertaining fight at any rate and that's what the aired events need. Guys who are gonna bring it and be in their fight. I guess the 2 losses must be the reasoning.

I don't really get the card, either. I think the last finale had the best fighters from the show, George S and The War Machine, along with Danzig and Spears, of course. The card looks amazing and I am definitely going to watch it but it won't be as good as the last finale...that said; the last UFC, Hughes vs Alvez was supposedly "lame" yet it was one of the best events I've seen, even the preliminaries were amazing bouts, so lots of hope left!

I've been really suprised at some of the names showing up on the undercard for fights but this card just has me straight up confused.
Eastman the beastman and Terry Martin on the undercard? Hazlett and Burkman? Matt frickin Riddle on the main card?? Whaaaa???
On top of that, IMO, Diego and Luigi should be the headliner instead of Tanner and Grove....
What is the deal?

They have Riddle on the main card because the millions of people watching the live event who didn't watch the series will get to see the clip of Riddle's "Knockout of the Century" (TM Quinton Jackson) right before he fights. If he gets another nice finish on live TV, well now he's got instant hype and can turn into a draw for the company.
Matt Riddle TKO minute 3 round 1.

I was gonna use the argument that the TUF finales are for showcasing the best fighters of that season, but I think there are better fighters then Matt Riddle.
