Remember the ratings and buyrates for the WWE at one point until things slided? They were getting mainstream too and a tremendous new fanbase until suddenly the large part of the fanbase turned it off from boredom. |

I agree 100% with what thelegendrvb said. Prowrestling has many issues these days, young wrestlers that can't carry the ball because it's giving to them too soon, bad story lines, drug abuse etc. I have turned from being a die hard prowrestling fan into a mma enthusiast ( I hope I wrote that right, english is not my main language so I apologize in advance.)I don't think this will be the case with mma or UFC. It's not storylines, bad athletes or drug abuse ( if you use drugs or steroids you get taken out of the show, example : Kimo.) The tests results are even done before the fights starts unlike boxing.
Hopefully the popularity will increase, it might go down after a few months but I hope this is just the start so other mma organizations can take the step into T.V. and why not, competition nevert hurt no one. It's great time to be an mma fan or athlete for that matter.
