Frank Shamrock vs. Phil Baroni To Be On Live PPV?

The now official match between Frank Shamrock and Phil Baroni on the December 8th Strikeforce show is possibly going to be broadcast on live pay-per view.

It's not official yet, but the company and everyone involved seems to be working hard thinking this is the perfect fight to mark a live PPV debut for the promotion.

An interesting side-note, the date of the show - December 8th is Frank Shamrock's birthday, his 34th to be exact. Legend yes, old and past his prime - only part of that is debatable, and this is also the pefect fight to gauge where Shamrock stands with today's current MMA fighters.

Shamrock said it would be on PPV, but he also said the 1st Strikeforce event was gonna air on FSN, so you never know.

Unless they completely stack the undercard I probably won't be ordering this one. I spend enough on PPVs as it is between PRIDE, UFC, and Bushido events. I'll probably just download the fights after the event happens.

I dunno bro, Shamrock and Baroni have done their job right. They've talked me into wanting to see it, regardless if there's a price tag on it or not. Frank's first real test since returning unlike Cesar Gracie we can actually gauge where Frank stands with today's fighters after a fight with Baroni. Plus, with the two it's a guaranteed exciting fight almost no matter what. And Strikeforce does a good job with their undercards as well, unlike other promotions who have one good main event and nothing to support it (and no, I'm not talking about the UFC)

That's true, I might order just to see experience a whole Strikeforce event. If they have Gilbert Melendez defending his LW title on the card, I will definitely be sold. Melendez/Josh Thomson and Cabbage/Buentello would make for some nice undercard fights. They'll probably throw Cung Le vs some can on there too.

if Yves is on the card, i'm getting it.

so i probably will end up getting it if Strikeforce puts any effort into their undercard
