sorry if this was made already but who does everyone think has the better Refs/Judges, based on fight stops and decisions.

i'd say the ufc has better refs and pride has better judges.pride refs tend to over use their yellow cards.the rampage/silva fight is a good example of this.The one ref in the ufc i really hate though is Mario Yamasaki that guy is fucking retarted.

I hate the yellow cards period!!!

wow you just made me realise how difficult this poll can become lol, I shoulda seperated it in judges and refs.. oh well too late now.

I dont thin the Pride refs are awful though but they have had a lot of screwups, Ken-Sakuraba, the Yellow cards, and so on

The UFC Judges are just awful, and the UFC refs are pretty good. I like refs that will let a fight go on as long as possible, I hate seein fights stopped after a knockdown, not even a knockout but a knockdown.

theres a point to the yellow cards and i dont see whats so bad about them.

what are the problems you have with the yellow card samurai?

ufc judges suck and so its not hard to be better then them. the refs are even in my book. both sides have screwed up but nothing major and overall their good.

I just dont like them, I think the deduction is too much.. I understand the purpose of them and I like the idea, but I dont like it when someone is on the ground and someone is on top of them, the ground guy getting the yellow card for no action.. I dont necessarily like that, theres not much he can do ya know? hes gettin pounded from there now hes gettin a 10% deduction thats almost like overkill.

i cant remember any time when the guy on the bottom has gotten the yellow card. ive seen both get the yellow card but never just the bottom guy. if you could remember a fight were that happened i would like to know.

the card makes sense though because if it didnt mean anything it would have no effect. by it having some significance it means the fighters dont want to get one and thus the keep fighting.

I may of saw wrong but didnt Bouch get one against Filho?

ya he did get a green card when he was on the bottom and then both him and filho got green cards in the second round. im not sure what that is though because i know bushido at least used to use red cards as their equivilent to the yellow card in pride. im thinking the green card must be something else.

ahh yea thats right, it was a green card my bad.

i was looking to find out what they were and i guess they use those now instead of the red card so he does lose part of his purse. also i read that they warned the fighter before the night started that they were gonna get a card anytime the ref felt they were stalling to try and push the matches to make the night exciting.
