I like the idea Diegonightmare. Maybe a poll wouldnt be the best idea but I like the idea of getting a general consensus of forum members
I will definitely try to contribute if my opinions mean anything to you guys

Just a suggestion (or 2) due to the problems of people coming in and picking say 10 random people to mess up the lists:
Firstly have a panel of judges who make the list so say 15 posters who we all agree should represent this websites idea of rankings.
or Secondly each month pick 20 fighters who are in contention for the top 10 and rank that way and then if people come up with good suggestions you have missed (say you miss aoki for example) then you can add that and mention people can change their votes if they wish. This way rankings are more in line with rational thought of most people.

i like the way they pick the coaches poll get 20 or 30 people who know what there talking about and have them pick'em

why don't we just have it were you have to have a certain rep level to vote, and those people pick there top ten. each spot gets a numeric value ( 1 is worth 10 pts. 2 is worth 9 and so on). sorry if this idea has already been posted, the firewall at work is only letting me see some of the posts so i am not sure what everyone else is suggesting

Voting should be limited other to selected people or only to people with certain rep.
Hell, you don't want armchair quarterbacks like me ( that know shit about real MMA ) to mess up the poll

there used to be a 750+ rep and a under 750+ rep rankings. That made sense to me.

I think everyone who wants to should be able to vote, it would all even out as far as the clowns. High rep does not necessarily represent intelligence, or even MMA knowledge. This we know.
