i was not impresseed with matt hamil this go around. every round looked the same. he never changed his technique, and as for seth petruzelli. he just plain sucks ass for not countering to matts aweful fighting skills. i feel like i could have done better.

good interview.I hope Seth performs better in his next fight.He's a great fighter and I hope he doesn't let this loss bring him down.

I definately think Seth learned from this, any other night after this fight Seth would knock out Matt without a question. Seth definately has the heart to do it and just needs to work off that little rust and doubt he has in himself.

He's smart enough to figure out what went wrong:

"but just me being too over-cautious is what did me in. I didn't let my hands go, obviously, everyone knows I didn't throw very many punches and when I did I was hurting him and just didn't capitalize on it, man. I didn't keep going and that's my own fault. My own rustiness, my own lack of a killer instinct when I was in there just from being out of the ring too long."

And I'm sure he'll fix it in the future!

Thanks for posting the interview Luis.

I don't think Seth should let this get him down too much. IMO, it's not unusual for guys that have a lot of ring rust to either be too tentative or overly aggressive. It seems to be one extreme or the other. He's got a big weakness conquered with the cardio. Next time around he should show us what he's made of. Looking forward to it.

Seth, if you end up reading this, you should know that there is always going to be some ignoranuses on every forum. Keep it in perspective dude.
