Gonzaga v Kongo would be cool, Kongo has 0 ground skills though so I could see it as a easy sub victory for Gabe.
But if both elected to stand it should be a good fight.
I think Gabe was doing some great work with his leg kicks against Werdum. It's too bad the rest of his striking/stand up hadn't matured at all by then. Least to say of his conditioning - His getting, "pounded out," there at the end by Fabricio was emberassing...He wasn't out, he was just plain fucking tired. Even worst than getting laid out, in my opinion...
And it's very true - McCully was a guy that Gonzaga was SUPPOSE to beat, in a dominant way. The only real good thing I take away from it is that Napao did come through, in the way he was suppose to. Some top tier guys just can't do that sometimes against cans. Glad to see Gabriel show some of the potential I'm hoping carries him further in his career...
Wouldn't mind seeing him eat Eddie Sanchez up too.
what cracked me up is rogan and goldie went nuts over the leg kick till they found out it was just a sweep then it was oh well he just fell. McCully was just straight up outmatched. It was nice to see GG show off his Black Belt BJJ skillz even though that was like a Blue Belt Kimura.
with the UFC's HW division failing, do you think McCully gets the boot or does he get to stick around to take on the new talent like the Carwin's and the Cain Velasquez's?
Can I get a halalujah for no irish cornrows?!
