| Anyone looking forward to the second half of the year?
With the blazing month of July starting off with a bang, the rumor mills for future shows are starting to churn. Just a month past halfway through 2008 and we've had titles change hands, superfights, and some of the most amazing finishes in UFC history. "AND IT IS ALLLLLLLL OVERRRRR" of course you're used to hearing that spouted out by Goldie after every early stoppage. So with half of the year gone....what is to come?
Has anyone been reading the rumor pages for UFC 89? It's another England card. Supposedly this fight is going to be on Spike TV as of now, and currently Michael Bisping vs. Chris Leben is the only confirmed fight, but SUPPOSEDLY....
Wanderlei Silva vs. Thiago Silva
Diego Sanchez vs. Thiago Alves
Also UK standout Dan Hardy is without opponent but is signed to fight on the card.
This has already been an AMAZING year of MMA for the UFC, and it seems that it has almost just begun. With Affliction looming, I'm curious what other Aces Lorenzo and Dana have up their sleeves for the upcoming UFC shows which includes their year end show featuring BJ Penn vs. the winner of the Welterweight championship match between GSP and Fitch.
Thoughts? Comments? Anyone?

Yeah, I think the second half of this year shows much more promise than the first half. Not that the first months of the year didn't have anything good, just what's coming up seems much more hype.

Looking forward to Affliction card, seeing Anderson both at 185 and 205. GSP/Fitch, to see how Fitch trys to win. Nog/Mir should be a good fight when it happens, though Nog should take it easily. I also look forward to seeing the MW division clear up some. Brock Lesnar gets his next test later this year, and we will see if he deserves to keep fighting higher level guys. LHW has tons of good fights this year. Surely looking forward to DREAM's cards also. And wondering how EliteXC next tv show will go. Good 2nd half that I can see.

yea the Lightweight finale for Dream looks to be some of the best fights the lightweight ladder has seen in one night ever.

I don't see them doing an immediate rematch, I just think Dana would want to capitalize on Forrest as the champ for the biggest paydays he could do. Also Wand/Rampage is probably a great fight for fans that don't know that Rampage lost to him twice.

No one can agree on who won. I don't think ever in history people have argued 3 different possible results for a fight.

If he doesn't win I see them setting up either Forrest/Rampage II or Forrest/W. Silva
Your reasoning is correct but I think UFC will try to milk the situation as long as possible and get as much money out of it ( hence fight with Chuck or Wandy first ).
