And I really see no reason NOT to have an immediate rematch. Nobody can deny that it was a close, competitive fight, so why do they have to have another fight first? Especially with the division the way it is, Forrest might not even defend the belt, he might lose it on his first fight back. Also, Rampage might lose his return fight as well...why risk all that? The rematch will do good numbers. | There was no split decision, I would not say that was a draw. I had Rampage winning the first and all the others I had Forrest winning. I don't think there should ever be a straight away rematch. Both fighters should fight someone else first. Others are in line that deserve a shot. They should both fight one and the 2 winners would then face each other.

"In Ibarra's view, the knockdown warranted a 10-8 round in "
A round in which Rampage lost 4mins of? It's only a 10 - 8 round if your winning it!

That would just undermine any authority they have and open the doors for all future challenges.
Like in any other sport ( basketball, football, etc. ) once ref makes the ruling and it is final there is nothing people can do unless they can prove that someone took some money.

this is dumb.. why cry to NSAC just come out and say page deserves a rematch and forrest didnt "beat" jackson in his opinion.. this is getting really gay. im a forrest fan and i thought he won and i don't think page deserves a rematch but now i want them to fight again so people quit complaining about the outcome.. or just let jackson heal up and they can fight after forrest beats chuck

I think he has every right to protest the fight. Probably nothing will come out of it, but at least he and the rest of us would get an explanation on why 2 judges had the first for Forrest.

"We got robbed," Ibarra told Sherdog.com Sunday afternoon. "We won the majority of the fight."
