Fedor vs Barnett at affliction 2 plus other rumored fights
Rumor - Fedor Vs Barnett at Affliction 2, Plus 2 UFC & 1 Dream fights rumored...

Affliction V.P Tom Atencio announced last week announced he was looking to have two more Affliction cards in the near future. “We’re looking at July 19 at the Honda Center, then we’ve got end of October, possibly November for the second show, then the third show will be February.”. What was not said, but is rumored to be planned is Fedor Vs Josh Barnett at Affliction's next card. This is based on if both fighters win their fights at Affliction "Banned" on July 19. One reported hurdle is whether Fedor who is not signed to a exclusive contract with Affliction will accomidate them and wait on the unspecified date for the fight. Especially when there have already been rumors of a possible rematch with Mirko Cro Cop on New years eve.

Nick Diaz was pulled out of Dream for a potential fight with KJ Noons as we reported first EliteXC officials were chomping at the bit one day after the two fought last month to get a rematch for their second show on CBS. Diaz seemed 100% sure the fight was taking place a week later when we interviewed him and he told us "I want that bitch to come to Stockton". Diaz even told us that EliteXC officials had pulled him out of his fight with Hayato Sakurai in order to have him fight Noons. To Diaz's dismay he not only missed a anticipated rematch with Noons he also missed out for reasons unknown at a second chance at KJ Noons and the EliteXC Lightweight Championship.

Houston Alexander (8-3) bursted on to the scene at UFC 71 with a beautiful TKO victory of Keith Jardine and then followed it up with another TKO victory over Alessio Sakara at UFC 75. It seemed as if the UFC had another star in the making in the 205 pound division until his fight with the undefeated Thiago Silva at UFC 78. Houston was dominated on the ground by Silva who went on to win the fight by a barrage of strikes from full mount. After that loss he looked to rebound at UFN-13 and was KO'd by a Superman punch in 8 seconds in a controversial stoppage. The loss tied the fastest time in UFC history for a KO, needless to say it was a big set back for the once hot Alexander. Alexander is now rumored to be fighting Eric "Red" Schafer at UFN-15 in September in his home state of Nebraska

Tim Boetsch who was being dubbed the "replacement killer" after he took a fight last minute at UFC 81 against David Heath and then slammed him against the Octagon fence like a ragdoll on his way to a victory. Is rumored to also be fighting at UFC 88 against former KOTC veteran James Lee. Boetsch who is coming off of a loss to Matt Hammil by TKO (Punches) at UFN-13 will be looking to get back to his winning ways
