|  Anderson Puts Franklin To Sleep Tonight
Yea I said it, Anderson Silvia is going to KO Rich Franklin out early tonight for these reasons.
1. Franklin is coming off injuries
2. Anderson has fought better competition in PRIDE.
3. Anderson is a tactial striker.
4. The fight is going to mark the downfall of Franklin in the UFC

I hate how everyones acting like Silva beating Rich is a bigger shocker.let's see we got a great all around striker with knees,punches,kicks,elbows,etc. against a guy with good boxing skills.We got a guy with a really good chin against a guy who's chin is very questionable,We've got a guy who is much faster,much more accurate with strikes,and comes out aggressively and overwhelms his opponents.We got a guy who fights very tactical and very smart and in my opinion we got a guy who's going to become the new MW champ.

It's very possible, but Franklin is the number one Middleweight in the World for a reason.

Let's say Franklin loses, how is it going to be his downfall? He's still a lot better than everyone else in the MW division.
I think Silva will have the striking advantage, and if he doesn't he will still catch Franklin every now and then. So I hope that Franklin takes this fight to the ground since we hardly ever get to see his ground game.

Really think Silva will take this one. I think Rich is in for a shock! And the fans who only know Silva from his fight with leben. Alot of people consider Silva favorite for this one.

I personally would LOVE to hear who Anderson Silva has fought that is "better competition" than Rich Franklin, the number 1 Middleweight in the world. In my opinion Rich is even one of the 5 best p4p fighters in the world. Anderson is a tactical fighter...true, but so is Franklin. I think Franklin's biggest advantage in any fight is his mental game and his intelligence. Silva is gonna have his hands full tonight with Franklin, but then again Franklin will have his hands full as well. I didn't mean for the post to sound as if I favored Franklin because I will be happy either way this fight goes (and I think it could go either way) but come on people....give Franklin some fuckin respect.

I agree, the assumption that Silva has fought better competition because he had a stint in Pride is silly. Look at their fight histories, it terms of quality of opponents it is almost impossible to put one over the other.
If Franklin can escape the early assault and take the fight into the 4th or 5th round, I think he will catch Silva making a mistake and submit him or back into a decision, but as a fan I'm hoping to see Silva drop bombs early and often. I'll say Silva by TKO in Round 2 but I really have no idea what is going to happen tonight.

I think Franklin is smart enough, and good enough to withstand any barrage that Silva is going to throw at him. The chin may be questionable, but Franklin's recovery time is amazing.
