The only way I agree that Lyoto is not fighting for the title is if Rampage gets an immidiate re-match. If Rampage is fighting Forrest again, then yes, Lyoto should sit on the sidelines waiting for the winner or have another fight if he chooses, but if there is no re-match Lyoto is clearly a deserving #1 contender in my opinion.

I also don't think there should be an immediate rematch, still not sure what all the controversy is about, Griffen won the fight.

I would rather see Rampage versus Wanderlei or Rampage versus Lyoto. I still think Lyoto needs one more win to deserve a title shot. (although, I don't know who Griffen would fight then since all the other obvious contenders are all fighting soon) .

Machida should be fighting for the title, no matter who's champion.

Weird they let Okami fight for a championship but Machida is on the back burner. Okami as a MW champ would be a disaster, yes Okami has more of a aggressive style but Machida is more marketable.

You can argue Machida has done enough to warrant a title shot, but the UFC is a business not a moral enterprise. Why would they waste a main event on a guy with a methodical style, who's not even a household name? Theres too much money to be made right now for Machida to get in there and make it a chess match or even worse for the UFC win. As for okami getting a shot he does hold a paper win over Silva, but don't forget he had Silva on his back at the time. Who's he beat to get his shot, doesn't matter they need somebody to fight Silva, and with the controversial loss it's got a good selling point.

No I completely agree. There shouldn't be an immediate rematch look at Matt Hughes the most dominant WW champ ever. Loses to GSP and he didn't get an immediate rematch. Yes he was tooled by him but still he had held the belt for like 50 years prior to that. Also Tim Sylvia lost his belt by decision to Randy and he didn't get an immediate rematch (which I thank tha lord for that one) The only reason Juanito and all the other Rampage fans are crying for an immediate rematch is because they know the UFC is gonna try and make Silva vs. Page 3 and they dont wanna see Page get killed again.
