Also Tim Sylvia lost his belt by decision to Randy and he didn't get an immediate rematch (which I thank tha lord for that one) The only reason Juanito and all the other Rampage fans are crying for an immediate rematch is because they know the UFC is gonna try and make Silva vs. Page 3 and they dont wanna see Page get killed again. | Well I think most ppl want to see a rematch in this case is because the fight was so close and could have went either way, which is why WHOEVER lost this fight were going to have their fans protest that the decision was wrong, and their fighter actually won, and the judges don't know what they are doing, etc. etc. etc. Which really creates a lot of hype Page vs Forrest 2.

Since the UFC is a business and they care about there PPV numbers and tickets sold they probably have Chuck fight for the title next after he beats Rashad and then have Rampage fight Wanderlei since that would sell really good as well which leaves 2 fighters for Machida in October. IMO it is going to be either Thiago Silva or Shogun.

Dana also said Forrest's first title defense would be in September-October. Rampage is already back in the gym training for his next fight. I would be willing to bet that Rampage-Forrest II will be happening in Chicago in October with the Wanderlei-T. Silva on the card and Okami-A. Silva as the co-main event.
Chicago will be a big show for the UFC and having three solid fights for the card will be important.
As for Machida, look for him to be fighting someone like Jardine, Bonnar, or some other mid-level guy as punishment for his comments. Bank on it. | Good break down. Agree with most of it but I don't think Lyoto will be "punished" for his comments. Dana may not be happy with the comments but I don't think he would stiff him out of a title shot because of them.
I think Machida's biggest problem is notoriety. Based on their past fight selection, the UFC would prefer to have a bigger name be involved with title fights. I think Dana is going to try to get Lyoto more exposure before he gets a title fight.
The other issue is marquee wins. His two best wins at this point are Soko (who the casual fan doesn't know) and Tito who is probably a little past his best days. I think Machida will need to fight a big name to get a title shot. He may even be two fights away. They may give him, like you suggested, someone like Jardine or maybe Bonnar while the 205 division sorts itself out a little. Both Bonnar and Jardine have decent name recognition so that could help Machida get some more exposure.

If Machida is signed for a fight in October and it isn't a title shot, and Dana said that Forrest will have his first defense in September, that can only mean a rematch with Rampage. There isn't anyone else at LHW available for a title shot.

Also since Soares said that they have an opponent but can't reveal him yet my new guess is Brandon Vera depending on the outcome of his next fight.

Rampage vs. Jardine and Wandy vs. Machida sounds good to me
