I am probable missing someone in there that I should have in there but that is pretty much my top 5.
Where is Tim on your's?
Mine you I kept Randy out because he has not fought in close to a year. I also think everyone on there would beat him if they were to fight now. Yes, I would take Tim in the rematch. |

Tim has fought a lot of high quality opponents. You can't deny him that or a legit spot in any top 5 HW ranking. I think he'll give Fedor a hell of a fight but I don't know about his prospects of winning unless he grinds out a decision win. I don't think he'll KO Fedor.
It would be interesting to see him put Fedor away tho. I think it would garner him alot more respect.

I think from Dana's point of view you left the UFC to go fight for another show that is competition for the UFC, he will probably say keep fighting for them, I do not think most Tim fights were that big of a draw anyway, I might be mistaken, but generally the UFC will not let go of there big money makers like they did Timmy, look at what they are doing to Randy. | Actually there might be positive spin that can be put on this ( and only if Dana really likes him, otherwise he will bury him ). Spin is that Tim has faced everyone at UFC and it was time for a change. After he fought in other org he saw that Affliction is crap and he is coming back to UFC.
And before I get slammed for describing Affliction in that way I want to put disclaimer - this what is possible spin UFC can put on it not the way I feel about Affliction.

Tim has always been very respectful to the fighters and to the fans. I agree with everything he said excepy the top 5 thing. He is in the top five in my book.
1. Fedor
2. Nogueira
3. Barnett
4. Sylvia
5. AA/Werdum

The reason I dont have Barnett is because he didn't fight at all in 2007, and has two fights this year but not against top top comp. Monson and Yoshida are both tough competition, but I would have either of them in top 10 to 15... I believe Wedrum has fought the tougher comp more recently... After Barnett Beats Rizzo hopefully he will fight the winner of Fedor / Timmay or AA / Rothwell...
I have Barnett at #7 behind Kimbo Quote:

(Yes, for those that dont get it, the Kimbo thing is a joke)

(Yes, for those that dont get it, the Kimbo thing is a joke) | The top 5 where he says that all could be considered #1. Yes any fighter could beat any fighter in any given fight in the top 5, but in that case you could say the same thing on all top ten, and then people not even in rankings or top ten have that chance also. (serra vs. GSP is an example)
