Sounds a lot like Franklins gameplan, and that didnt work at all.

I just hope its exciting. I expect a rd1 tko for silva maybe 2nd. But I like cheering for the underdog. But in this case if silva is only fighting once at 205 whats the point really, I would rather his win have bigger implications and give us another matchup at 205 in the event he wins

"Since I’ve taken the fight, a lot of people have come up to me and asked, ‘What’s your game plan? What’s your game plan?’ ” Irvin said. “I go, ‘What kind of a game plan can I have against the guy? He’s better than me on the ground. He’s better than me standing up. What am I going to do?’ I don’t have to go in there and beat him at jiu-jitsu or beat him at Muay Thai. I can go in and fight the guy. I’ll go in and mix it all together and see if my style works with his or not.”
I dont think he believes this, even tho nearly all rational mma fans believe this to be the case. I think he is saying this to keep everyone off of his back, fly under the radar until its time to fight & then he's gonna get in their and do what he thinks he is capable of doing. Whatever that may be, but I'm sure he has a gameplan, and despite his comments he's gonna be confident in what he sets out to do.

Which is great, but I still think he's getting KTFO!!!!

It could also work to give him confidence with each strike he throws that lands, and each one he eats that doesn't put him out.

I still don't think he'll win, but I like the fact that he's going in...

Anyone wanting to bet against the clear #1 P4P guy in the world wants to make an obvious contrarian play. There's no way you could objectively believe Anderson Silva is likely to lose this fight.

I'm very eager to see if he still has his quickness and is as deadly at 205 (in this phase of his career) as he is at 185.
