For the most part, most PRIDE stars were given great paths to the belt when they were in the UFC

Rampage is marketable was pushed. I personally think Nog was set up w/ Herring to lose. A lot of people though CroCop got setup for failure against GG, I'm one of them.

Herring and Silva came over early so they weren't held down. But look at Henderson. Put on the shelf for that long only to fight Rampage and Silva in his first 2 fights. Damn! I can understand not wanting to pay some of the guys their Pride contracted money, but why not get at least one fight from Hunt? or any of the other guys they let sit for a year?

The first 3 look good, but why would machida take a step back to fight bonner? if lyoto is not going to get the title shot he deserves, then maybe fight with shogun or chuck would make more sense

ive never been a fan of joe silva. im 100% positive i could do a better job then him at matchmaking. ive seen fights on certain cards, that i think to myself, if he just re-arranged a few fighters on the card, it would be so much better.

also he picks bad matchups sometimes, like putting lesnar against mir in in his debut was just foolish imo. there's lots of others but ill just stop here.

Not just that, but how can it be frustrating when he has so much talent to work with? Now being a match maker for Elite... that would piss me off. You have like 10 good guys spread out through out the divisions.

UFC matchups basically make themselves.

No body knew Nog better. And its not like Herring had gotten tooled in those fights. At the time, I didn't think there was another HW on the roster that would have been a tougher fight for Nog.
