But I would like to see KOS face off against his teammate Fitch, that would be interesting. | I personally think Kos would beat Fitch, that would be a good dream match thread. I don't think Kos is a better overall fighter, but the matchup favors him.

It's not like it was the co-main event of a pay-per view with title implications or anything.
He got more takedowns, and stayed on top for the majority of the fight. He was happy to ride out a decision and really didn't really have his heart set on finishing Kos. I think he won the fight 29-28, but saying he kicked Kos' ass like the poster said is way off.

But hey whatever floats your boat, GSP won the fight becuase he ended up on top 3 times in the fight, and managed to not get reversed 2/3 of those times. It is pretty stupid to think that he earned his 3rd title shot with that win

With Diego healthy I want a 3rd fight with him and Kos. The 3rd time will be the charm and we'll all get a real treat.
Beating Lytle is one thing. How would he do against another top 5 fighter? That's the real question.

So beating the #4 ww and then beating the #3 ww to get ur title shot isn't as stupid as you would think.

An Interim title shot is still a title shot, and he was in line to fight the winner of Hughes vs Serra anyways. His title shot wouldn't be that stupid if it was his first title shot, it was his fucking third. Hughes and Nog are the only people I can think of off the top of my head who have challenged for the same title 3 times (counting interims as well), GSP has never even defended it and counting the Interim shot he has had 4 shots at UFC welterweight belts.

He lost it to Serra, beat the #4, then #2(at the time, I believe Hughes was anyways) so yeah, I think he deserved a re-match. Seeing how it was Serra's first title defence anyways... it might as well be a re-match, in which he got totally dominated.

It was Serra's first title defense and he got dominated, yes, sounds like GSP a year ago.
