Depends on where his dedication is. If its in fighting, then I say yes. We'll see where he stands after the Martin fight. If he runs through Martin, I say there is a good chance that he is back.

He has never been as impressive as people say IMO, since his win over Herring and sweet KO of Wandy I have yet to see him prove that he is near the top in any weight class. He has an amazing grappling backround and very quick hands but can't put it together. He should beat Martin though

If he gets his head straight things could could go very right for the first time in a quite a while...obviously if his head isn't there things could go very wrong as usual.

I believe he's nothing more than a gate keeper for whatever organization he fights in.
He should be able to handle Martin rather easily, who is nothing more than a mid-level fighter.
I dont see him beating any of the top contenders at 185 or 205.

I voted Gatekeeper. I just think he's got too many mental hurdles to overcome. I don't think he can get over those. Even back then in the early part of the decade he showed signs of inconsistency. His fight with Wanderlie then is next fight against Sakuraba, it was night and day.

The parallels between Belfort's career and Tito's career are eerily similar. They both were dominant during the same era, losses to Couture kind of derailed them, and both have the same stagnant era of productivity.
It depends on where his head is at. Like Tito, if he can get his mind right, he has the God given talent to be truly special. It just depends on where the mental aspect is and the dedication.

He can be a contender. I mean really his only loses in the the last few years have been to Top fighters...so I dont see why he can't contend.
Vitor by submission rd 1.
