Irvin is setting himself up for a fall here IMO, when Anderson smashs Irvin with his 'not real technical clinch', this makes Irvin look like a prick. If he had said that Anderson has a great clinch (the truth) he won't look bad when he loses to it.

I imagine that if Irvin starts to get the better of the standup game than Anderson will take it to the ground and finish him pretty quickly. In fact, I predict a Silva win by RNC.

I think Irvin will win - I hope Irvin will win.
I think it is very bold of Silva to move up a weight class. I hear a lot of talk on here about how Silva is a big MW and normally walks around at 215lbs, etc. But when there were rumors going around about a Silva vs. GSP fight I read an article were Dana White stated that Silva would have no problem cutting weight to 170lbs because he normally walks around right at the 185lbs mark and is seen eating cookies and snacks at interviews - that doesn't sound like a person, to me, that is worried about cutting weight.
Irvin is much stronger. Silva has great accuracy and effectiveness, but Irvin has one punch KO power. He has a very tough chin and is an all or nothing fighter which may throw off Silva's game because, at this point, he is used to people being very cautious with him.
I don't see this fight making it out of the 2nd and my pick is Irvin by (T)KO.

from the rumours I hear it would be GSP moving up and not Silva moving down, although as I have stated before I've seen Silva fight as a LW so if he had to move down I'm sure could, but that is for another thread.
Irvin may have KO power, but so does Silva, it's in his feet but he does have it, I hope it does turn into a war, it'd make for a great night of fighting, but I think Silva is just too skilled for Irvin to get close enough to KO him, and if they clinch, then it's lights out for Irvin.

Does Irvin even know what Silva has been doing in his fights to be so dominant, because by the sound of things he doesn't know shit. Anderson will make my DVR happy with a 48 sec knockout.
