This interview, conducted by Throwdown TV, is the last known interview conducted with Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. A very candid Jackson acknowledges that he was depressed about his UFC 86 loss to Forrest Griffin for a week after the fight but that he believes the loss will make him a better fighter. He also reveals that he took nine months off from training and that it caused him to gain a lot of weight heading into his nine-week training camp for the fight.
New details pertaining to the Tuesday arrest of Quinton “Rampage” Jackson on alleged felony hit and run charges have begun to surface.
According to Yahoo! Sports, UFC President Dana White left Tuesday evening to fly to California in order to post bond for Jackson. However, gossip website TMZ.com is reporting that Jackson was declared medically unfit for booking and was taken to an Orange County-area hospital.
MMAjunkie.com reported last night neither drugs nor alcohol are suspected to have played a role in Jackson’s arrest.
Attempts by FiveOuncesOfPain.com to contact Jackson’s trainer and manager Juanito Ibarra have thus far gone unanswered
While attempting to confirm whether a TMZ.com report suggesting that Quinton “Rampage” Jackson was declared medically unfit for booking while being processed through the Orange County jail, a representative with the Costa Mesa Police Department indicated to FiveOuncesOfPain.com on Wednesday morning that Jackson made bail and was released from police custody late Tuesday.
Jackson’s bond had been set at $25,000.
The representative did not have any information regarding a report by TMZ that Jackson had been hospitalized in the Orange County area after being declared medically unfit. After calling several major hospitals in the O.C. area, Five Ounces of Pain was not able to verify that Jackson had been admitted to any of them.
Rampage has had a busy night, good thing he isnt champ he would probably get scorned for this shit if he had a title.

Champ or not, a felony arrest won't do your career any wonders. I wouldn't be surprised to see him released.
If he gets released then Affliction and/or EliteXC pick him up and they have someone else who is well known to the American public and who is nice and easily marketed as well. I don't see him getting released unless he gets a jail term he's too easily marketable and he knocked Chuck Liddel out who almost every American could name.
man i hope rampage gets off with just a suspended license. Rampage is one of my heroes.

Depression can cause you to do some crazy shit. He probably hit the car ands lost it. Hope he gets some counseling and gets back in the cage sometime this year.
I just hope he gets prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I understand depression makes you do certain things but that doesn't mean you can condone his actions. I bet the person he hit and ran on is more depressed than he is and prolly doesn't make half the money he does. I hope Jackson gets whooped in his next fight just like he did in his last.
i wonder if Rampage does have some medical issues right now. they said no drugs or alcohol was involved but could he have had a strange reaction to some medications? who knows at this point. if Dana White went and posted his bail, i doubt he'll release Quinton...but his immediate rematch is not gunna happen now, thats for sure
but i agree, Rampage sounded off in this video...
