Yeah there was something wrong....Silva rearrranged his face. I thought Franklin would win, but Anderson made a believer out of me....the guy is a beast, no striker like him in the division, or any division for that matter in the UFC.

I had a bad feeling about the fight all day...all week...hell as far back as when it was announced...i knew something was wrong with him when he walked out...he didn't look like hisself and was acting differently...i'll give it up to silva...he showed why he is dangerous and one of the best in the world...damn he broke rich's nose bad with that knee...quick and percise was his hands and his knees...maybe something rich will work on and it will make him a better fighter in the long run...as it has been said before the measure of a champ isn't how he loses...it's how he gets back up...hopefully it's with a vengance.

Yeah, Franklin lost fair and square, no excuses here from a Franklin fan......but before everyone starts bashing him, keep in mind it's only his second loss. Rich Franklin will be back, and he'll get his immediate re-match. He'll train to defend the clinch better, and I think fight 2 will be different...............Silva certainly isn't unbeatable.....

Maybe all the pressure got to Franklin....no matter what anyone says your always under extreme ammounts of pressure when in the situation Franklin was in...first fight from an injury against a guy who already destroyed someone with an ironchin.....trying to live up to everyones expectations...Hughes even said he felt alot of pressure in the first BJ fight..but then again who knows maybe he did get bad news.

I said the same thing last night to my girlfriend (who started crying cus Rich lost)...it was a hell of a fight from silva's stand point...but i'm sure Rich won't make that same misstake twice.

but at least Penn had Hughes in a very compromising position, nearly ending the fight with a triangle/armbar, and dominated Hughes in every aspect of MMA apart from conditioning. Rich just got straight up schooled. it wasn't even the fact that Silva is a great striker, because he barely threw any punches. it was the Muay-Thai knee, the most powerful move in MMA, that did in Franklin. Silva's work in the clinch is unparalelled at this point.

After that first knee to the face Franklin looked like he was practically out of it. It was just a matter of time after Silva would KO him.

Default Wasn't Impressive...

Like I said at the beginning of this post...I believe that Rich was not coming out to fight like Rich Frankin can, and I still believe that Silva is not the best in the world. Rich has proven over and over again why he is the best, and he just didn't put in that same effort with Silva. I don't know how any UFC fan could be happy about Silva wearing the belt, because he beat Rich with a clinch that Rich wasn't even trying to defend. Silva won because Frankin laid down and gave up. Big deal...Silva broke his nose! Anyone can break the nose of man that isn't fighting back. Not impressive.

franklin may not have been 100%, but he just got beat tonight. i went back and watched it. the only strange things i noticed was his blackeye and his stomach looked kinda funny... almost like he had a hernia or something. but he started good... feeling out anderson, but the knee to his liver completely threw him off his game. he was done at that point. i think he just looked focused during his entrance. and his wife being upset before... who would wanna watch their husband possibly get beat down?
