This is why the orginal poster, would need to update the thread everytime new news comes out, so the first post would contain all the info, put dates by the stuff.

Than you won't have to look thru 50 pages of posts, it would all be found on the first page and on the first post.

like i said because of the timing it won't seem as bad, because there are like 5 events in the next 10 days but there are already 4 threads about Rampage on the front page.

Yeah, it makes total sense that there are new threads, each one is about a different topic. Just because they can all be wrapped around one person doesn't mean they're all the same.

Hell, to me even new information about the same topic would warrant a new thread.

The ones that bug me are the ones that are about exactly the same info as another thread. those should be merged.

They just sound adolescent, they're actually much older...

I'm not a fan of "one thread to rule them all"... in fact the more threads we have, the more chances to keep one of them on topic or to isolated and treat sporadic flame wars as they occur...

Some people are just too imaginative or retarded to stay on topic sometimes, which is a good and bad thing, some and all of the time...

I believe Dana when he says it's really about looking out for his friend or his family, I just don't believe that applies to all the fighters in equal measure... in all honestly it probably can't... too many fighters to make sure all of them aren't doing something stupid... and then to be there for each one as they struggle... (I wonder if they reached out to Evan Tanner in this way)

I'll give Rampage the benefit of the doubt, after reviewing that last video interview of his, with him glazing off into the distance, his voice kind of hoarse like he'd been screaming, and his continual rambling and non-linear speech... he may have experienced a bit of a nervous breakdown...

He "seems" like a generally level-headed hard working person, but he's has been prone (admittedly by himself) to fits of anger, rage, and immaturity...

I don't think there's many of us who don't wish to seem to return stronger and more relaxed than previous, but I don't think even his most diehard fan should excuse his actions, including the UFC president...

Depending on what he is found to be responsible for, I would hope that the UFC punishes him accordingly... they probably won't, most professional sports do not, but still it would really make me think less of Page, Dana, and the organization as a whole if this becomes: Excuse-Fest '08...

And on a side note...

What do you all think will happen with the THQ game for '09 should Rampage be found guilty of felony charges?

I don't know much about this but it isnt too far fetched that Rampage did get kind of depressed and might have been on meds when this happened (perscribed or not). As humble as he comes across, this seems out of character and hopefully he can get through this. Its a shame that he had to affect so many people in a negative way. Time will tell what happened and in the meantime all we can do is wish for the best.

I agree with you on that, I posted that Rampage might have caused bodily injury to a pregnant woman in the old thread and no one even knew it was there.

Well, Kudos to Dana for going to help out Rampage (and do damage control) in his time of need. Maybe, just maybe, people will back off a little on comparing Dana to the Anti-Christ all of the time.

In light of his being "picked up" by police again today, after friends concerned about his behavior flagged them down, you have to wonder how deep this goes.

Dana said Rampage was very, very upset. You can tell he was pretty distraught. I am hoping this is a temporary setback for him, and nothing more serious.
