I think the ufc is going downhill dispite the popularity of it. TUF 4 is horrible so far, i almost cant even watch it. Whose gonna be on TUF 5? Shamrock, Coture, Franklin????

Just because the guys you wanted to win, didn't win, does not make the card boring. That was a great card. The only thing that could have made it better would have been if Anderson Silva went up to Franklin after the fight and said "I got your nose".

that would have been hilarious. all in all i liked the card. florian impressed the hell outta me and the jon fitch fight was pretty awesome. dan lauzon looked good for an 18 year old fighter fighting a miletich vet, too. franklin's my fave and it sucked to see him lose but damnit if it wasn't an impressive victory.

I agree with the threadstarter. It was a boring UFC event. glad I watched for free and didnt pay for this lackluster show

I like the fact that there werent any controversies. Each win was clearly decided. Even though Kongo lost because he kept getting taken down, and it was a somewhat dull fight, he still clearly lost. Florian went the distance but everyone knew he wouldnt win unless he stopped the fight. And all the other fights that were shown were stopped. So overall, i was quite happy with this event.

It didn't turn out to be the most exciting UFC card, but Florian/Sherk, the Fitch fight, the fight they showed after Anderson/Rich were all pretty entertaining. Kongo fight was really a let down, I thought he'd put him to sleep for sure.

But Silva and Franklin was a great fight, or a great coming out party anyway. I was entertained for the most part. But I think November's show will crush this one.

Kenflo vs Sherk was a technical fight and the type of fights that you should see a lot of in MMA if you dont like it then your probably not a big fan of MMA.

MMA is short, the fights are short even when they go to distance.. just enjoy it. Franklin vs Silva was an awesome match-up, Kenflo showed a lot of heart and was mad impressive with his JJ game, Kongo vs Whatever his name is was boring but it was cuz that other guy just kept takin Kongo down at will and LnP. Did you see the Fitch fight? that was a solid fight, another good technical fight.. This wasnt a bad card.. and im usually critical of a lot of UFC's fight cards but I definently enjoyed this one.

No point in just repeating, Afro sums up my opinion nicely.

That I hadn't even thought of till you mentioned it. Ab-so-lut-ely. However, instead of posts on why someone got robbed, we get, due to the Silva win, 100 posts crowing and saying again how much the UFC sucks. Whats worse, you decide.

Yea that can get annoying as well. However, the excuses being made for Franklin were expected as was the UFC sucks...etc. Still, there's less to bitch about since the night didnt offer any outright controversies (I say outright because people are looking to turn Franklin's performance into a controversy and I expect the rumors to fly in the coming days/weeks).

I am quite a critic when it comes to MMA and boxing, but I will say this. I've given a thumbs down to most UFC events. But last night's event gets a big thumbs up. Thanks to Anderson Silva. And props to Rich Franklin, he tried his best. I hope he recovers well and comes back. But there's only one little thing that bothers me. I don't know if this bothers any of you but it's getting really weird and I think I should mention it, if it hasn't been mentioned already.
Is anybody here getting REALLY REALLY REALLY sick of Tim Sylvia walking around in the crowd, in the octagon, and in locker rooms while wearing that championship belt around his waist, even though he's not even scheduled for a fight on the card? Does he crap with that thing on too? Dayum, I'm almost hoping that he gets seriously hurt in the octagon so as not to show his face around on camera ever again. Man is he annoying.
Despite that, UFC last night was very good.

i was really impressed with the UFC 64 card...i found it entertaining....and seeing franklins nose go through the back of his head was definately awesome
