He still should congratulate him and shown a little respect, I don't care so much about the cheesy raising the hand concept as I do being a good sport and taking a loss like a man. Look at Jens Pulver after he lost to Joe, true class athlete. Not saying Franklin isn't, just saying he should of shaken the man's hand and told him "great fight" or something.

Yes but the problem with that is Sherk is a 25 minute 5 round main event fighter, he sucks the PPV cards dry and now every card he is on, means less undercard fights and a 5 round GNP match.

Noobie fans especially do not want to see that and will not take a liking to Sherk. As an MMA fan it does not bother me as much but still the 5 round thing is going to really suck now as that is 25 minues worth of PPV time in 1 fight plus pre-fight BS and ring entrances, you are looking at a 32+ minute fight in all.

If he stood and picked opponents apart like franklin did to the Crow the fans would like him but they don't have ANY respect for the ground game so the UFC will market Sherk very little if any (similar to Tim Sylvia) as he will not put booties in the seats like Chuck, Tito, Hughes and Franklin will (the popular TUF guys as well but skill wise very few are worth mentioning so I will not mention any of them).

The fans need to be open about nationality because I'm sure a lot of Pride fighters pay attention to UFC and not all the Pride guys are heavily paid. Some of them would make more money by coming to the UFC and winning a belt (hence, A. Silva, he is going to be paid much more now than he was making in Pride as he is a champion now) and that HW division looks VERY open for any top 10 Pride HW to come in and seemingly, easily disspatch Tim Sylvia.

I wish one of the Nog brothers (or both) would fight even a single fight in the UFC just so fans could see how exciting the ground game is when a world class BJJ practitioner is involved. Even if you are not a fan of the ground game, after watching a Nog brother fight you will be amazed.

Like Lister did vs Sakaria, the fans dug that and the Nogs BJJ is so much sicker than Listers. Their cardio is sick, they have shaq sized hands and have unreal grip strength so they are able to control nearly anyone from the bottom and throw up a sub.
