Why are there SO many "Silvas" in MMA?

Anderson Silva, Wanderlei Silva, Giant Silva, Jean Silva, Assuerio Silva, etc.

Is "Silva" a name that is passed on to fighters who compete in the Chute Boxing acedemy or is it all just a coincednce that so many MMA fighters have Silva as a last name?

BC in Brazil the name Silva is like the name Smith here in the states. There everywhere down there. Gay question by the way.

what's funny is there's a lot of silvas and a lot of gracies, but none of the silvas seem to be related.

Which is why I was asking the question. I know the Gracies were all family, but the Silvas don't seem to have much in common besides being Chute fighters.
