I really dislike Sylvia due to the roids and his ignorance as to openly state he could beat Fedor, Cro Cop or Nog. I'm sure he will or has babbled some garbage about being able to beat Barnett now as well.
I though, do not see how Monson can possibly win this fight. I think Sylvia will back up and throw from his back foot the entire fight. Jab after jab. I dunno if Monson has Shamrock length arms but Sylvia is going to have like a 1' height advantage and a 10"-15" reach advantage.
Monson is a very big guy but is not real mobile or quick and against a huge fighter like Sylvia, quickness is the key if you are a wrestler and can't out strike Sylvia.
This could very well be a 5 round decision or a KO in rd 2 and that is what I am going with. Sylvia by KO in the 2nd rd.
Wishfull thinking, I hope Monson's ring entrance consists of him coming out to "your the best around" by Joe esposito (the infamous karate kid song) and is wearing a shirt with a silk screen print of a rondom photo of Sylvia wearing his belt at a UFC event. Then procedes to double-leg Sylvia and hammer fist his nose and make it look like Franklins, then do that to one of his eyes, then rebreak that right arm.
