WAR BABALU!!! | Tito isn't going to put himself in position to get anaconda choked by Babalu. How long's it been since Tito was submitted?
Believe that if this fight ends up on the ground, it's going to be one of 2 things, a scramble for position, or elbow city.
I really like Babalu, one of my favorite LHWs under Rampage, Forrest and Tito but I think Tito uses his size and strength to control it on the ground. My big concern though is how Tito's GNP is effected by the ropes.
That anaconda choke in your gif though was a thing of beauty.

I'll be amazed if Lindland makes 100K for a follow-up fight.

rh | Atencio did say that the first fight events were inflated for getting fighters over there. I do think, however, that Tito causes more PPV buys so Mr. Affliction will give Tito his money.
It will be interesting to see what happens with, if Tito does sign with Affliction, the fashion show entrances with all of the Affliction shirts. Will Tito put aside Punishment Athletics to wear an Afflictions shirt or will they partner up for that as well.

rh | This is Tito. He won't stand the fact that Matt got paid that much one-time or not. Tito will get paid more and will draw in more buys. More buys than Matt could ever do. Tito will get his $$$. I'm guessing it'll be a large chunk plus a percentage of the PPV. I wonder what will happen if/when he's champ. Will he demand more and more because he is champ? At what time will the honeymoon end? That's the curious part to me.

That anaconda choke in your gif though was a thing of beauty. | I don't think Tito's going to waltz straight into a sub anymore than I think Babalu is going to carelessly leave his guard wide open enough to get his face hammered into the floor. I'm guessing you're correct in that the fight would probably come down to a consistant scramble for position - with cardio being a major factor and stand-up being the wild-card. I believe it would be an extremely close fight that would more than likely go to decision.

Then we think that, and it turns into a kickboxing match between 2 guys not known for their striking ability. Then Tito pulls a triangle out of nowhere.

Babalu was 201lbs against Whitehead and i think that the commentators said it wasnīt b/c cutting too much but his actual weight. That would give Tito a huge weight advantage. Titos grappling is probably good enaugh not to get subbed and his striking isnīt as bad as Lyoto made it look. He just misses real power but Babalu isnīt that great on his feet either.
I see some half decent striking without too much damage to neither guy and a lot of fighting for position on the ground. Tito by decision.

If Tito could get Babalu down, Babalu's BJJ has been improving so much of late, especially since he got his Black Belt, he'd sub Tito. Tito just isn't as forceful anymore, and while he's on the downswing, Babalu's consistently improving.
Babalu by head removal.
