Dana to make another "Big Announcement" Saturday During UFC 84 Replay

I'm guessing it will be UFC 89 free on Spike.

Where did you find this? I don't see it on UFC.com.

Word has it that Journey will be playing at the next PPV

purchased IFL

It's all over the UG. I guess they said something about it earlier tonight no Spike.

I don't think it was the IFL purchase. They wouldn't announce that on TV like it was a big deal. They might hold a PC to gloat a bit, but most likely they will just merge whatever talent and footage they decide to use and go on as if the IFL never really existed.

Couldn't they just by IFL the old fashion way, by just taking it over lol.

I think i read somewhere there are 53 million shares or some shit, and at 2 cents a share, couldn't they just buy a majority share and that will be that.

I don't see IFL being worth 5 million.

I think it will be 89 on spike and that Anderson Silva is the headline

They could, but they just want the video library and fighter contracts, which they are offering less than a mil for. And yeah, 89 on Spike sounds reasonable, though given past announcements it'll probably be a sneak peek at TUF 8 or some crap like that

Dork8503 07-24-2008 11:03 PM

If they announce 89, i believe Anderson will be the main event.

They are going to be pushing him for the world to see. They want him to be a huge star, Chuck Liddell style.

I am sure if Anderson starts heading down that road, they would probably offer Chuck to Anderson, to show the world what Anderson can do.
