i am going to order every ppv and hype this organization up from now on. it is a risky business plan to do it this way. but for me, knowing they are treating the fighters well is important. the ifl had the same idea. and the guy that owns it (shamus) flat out said we might lose money the first couple years, but he said he wouldn't give up on it because he believes in the sport and he believes he can set up a way for the fighters to be more of a pro athlete than just a fighter with endorsements, salaries, and bonuses. he also wanted them to able to train full time. that is where them getting a salary came from so they didnt have to struggle from fight to fight. shamus owns wizard, the comic book guide as well as a few other mags and is a huge fan of the sport. we need to support these organizations as mma fans.
I dont care how much he believes in the sport, their marketing/business strategies are just as bad as the UFC.
The UFC will have problems maybe up the road with over saturating their market - look what happened to Krispy Kreame donuts when they over saturated the market.
