| Belfort vs. Lindland for Affliction's belt Quote:
The knockout over Terry Martin at Affliction’s first edition didn’t only put Vitor Belfort back to victories, but can get him a title fight. Belfort’s broken hand might not be a trouble for his next fight. “The doctor will analyze it, but I may stay four weeks out. I’ll come back in October 11th to fight Matt Lindland for the belt”, told the athlete, that will face the Fábio Negão’s opponent on Affliction’s first event.
“It’ll be a great fight, we’ll see who is the best of the world there”, said Belfort, that guarantees his style will be a problem for Lindland. “I saw his fight with Negão and he’s a warrior... He comes be over you, but I don’t think he has the strength to stay over me”, analyzes Vitor, that wants another knockout on his career. “I’ll go to knock him out… My punches are well-aimed and when it hits he won’t stand”, guarantees Belfort.

If Lindland fights lie he did against Negao, hes getting KO'd. I wasn't impressed at all by the way Lindland fought. I wish Vitor shows up nd schools Lindland.

This will not be enough to attract even half of the non-paying fans back to an Affliction show. If Fedor fights, I still think it'll be a drop-off in PPV buys and attendance.

Still, gauging them only by those fights, I'd pick Vitor.

Either Vitor will KO him a la Terrell or Lindland will outwrestle him for a DC. i'm hoping it's the former.

Lindland did not look impressive, IMO. Belfort KO's Terry Martin and then get's a title fight? They really need to bolster their roster.

If the Tito/Babalu fight goes through as rumored, this will be another great card. Unfortunately, with two very well-known ex-UFC guys fighting, two other high profile ex-employees fighting for a 185 title and guys like Barnett and Sylvia possibly being included, I can guarantee the UFC will put on something to offset it. If next weekend's UFC PPV is solid, I wouldn't be surprised if they showed it for free on SPIKE that night.

I think they need a roster before they hand out belts. Say Belfort wins, then that leaves either Martin or Negao for a title shot with Lindland having to beat Martin or Negao to be top contender?

I like this fight and have Vitor winning by 2nd RD KO.
As for opponents hopefully they can at least cross promote or pick up some free agents if some other organizations go out of business.
WAR Vitor. Although I won't get to hear Joe Rogan say something about "the old Vitor" an amazing amount of times during the fight.

this is great, but Affliction really needs to build up its roster.
