RICH FRANKLIN IS A CHUMP, A PUNK, A LAME SCRUB


Are you kidding? A man who has dedicated his life to his profession, who trains like a madman, a man who has stepped into the arena, faced his opponent, faced the truth of himself. I hear he is being talked down on the forums of the MMA websites. That makes me angry. He was on top of the world and worshipped, now he is the subject of laughter. I wish we could all be bigger than that. I wouldn't say I'm friends with him, or particularly like him, but he has my full respect, and will continue to have my respect, win or lose. He is a great fighter. I have respect for any man that has the courage to step into the ring, the octagon, and put his pride, and body on the line.

It's easy for so many on the sidelines, sitting in the seats, sitting on their couches at home to talk, to say how a thing should be done, but who is it, alone in the ring? Who is it that faces it all by himself? It is the warrior. Rich Franklin is a warrior. We should show some respect.

Evan didn't say he was talking about Sherdog. Even if he did, what difference does that make? We've got a few jerks running around here too, just not the majority.

so we cant talk about how Franklin was a product of Dana's Marketing? how he doesnt actually have a lot of great wins in his list? How he isnt a very technical striker (Rich admitted this himself)? Nothing against the man or Rich as a person or human being, but the fighter was always average to good and never great.

pisses me off, how can people say that he isnt one of the best mw in the world. sure he was beating badly by silva, but there arent many mw that could beat silva anyways. it would happen to anybody in the ufc even worse. only cept maybe henderson or linland.

Belive me it was directed at sherdoggers. But even more important is what was written. Evan's character is all over the above statement that he wrote.
