i think vera is pretty good, i remember him saying "I am gonna be the 1st champ in LW and HW divisions"

i don't know yet if i believe him yet, but i hope does drop down to stomp chuck

i would imagine if he gets a shot at the title an wins , his next fight will be for the lhw belt, but if he loses against the hw champ i still see him going to lhw and getting a shot at that belt either way he should end up with 2 shots back to back. thats if he gets by mir. Because we all know dana would give him the shot deff if he won

I hope they dont let any fighter hold two belts. it was bad enough waiting for Franklin to defend his belt because he was off for 7 months. can you imagine having to wait 7 months with two belts not being able to be defended? And this in light of the current schedule of UFC ppvs?

That is a valid point, I think it would just be a statement with Vera showing that he is the best HW and LHW and then releasing one of the belts and staying in the weight division in which he kept the belt.

If you think about it he really has more advantages at LHW as he is what 6'-6" and him fighting as a HW he will be facing guys like Sylvia and AA that are much bigger than him (likely not too much stronger than him as his strength is very deceptive, he is a very strong guy) so I assume that he just wants the biggest possible challenge.

I really hope Pride, K-1 or WFA don't yank him away from the UFC for the UFC's sake of establishing a good HW or LHW division as the HW division is lacking and the LHW will be loosing Chuck in a few years I would guess as he is 39 now.

36 years old. but yeah, don't see chuck sticking around as long as shammy and couture did. i do see brandon as the most dangerous up and coming hw right now. he wins -vs- mir and he gets a shot @ the title. but i'd like to see him and arlovski throw down.

Have you guys seen Frank Mir fight? Dude is a badass. If he gets Vera on the ground Vera is going to be 17-1.

Mir was lucky to win his last fight and i'm pretty sure he got thrown out of his gym for not turning up or training hard enough, he didn't turn up in shape for his last fight and gasses real quick too !!! ????

One of my close friend's cousins is Brandon Vera, he's always sending her his fight DVD's and stuff....it's pretty cool. He IS the Truth, and the Truth is he will be a HW champion.
