Difficult to do a Top 10 Greatest of all time.

The list with some explanations so you emotional fucks (4th time) don't start arguing.

1. Fedor Emelianenko
2. Lyoto Machida (Boring or not, the guy can adapt to his opponents style and pick him apart)
3. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
4. Anderson Silva
5 and 6: BJ Penn & GSP (depends if you want to grab on Penns or GSP's nuts more)

the rest i'm not sure, but should include:

Wanderlei Silva
Dan Henderson (i thought he beat Rampage)
Sakuraba

and Gegard Mousasi

I thought R Graice would of been mentioned. He may not be great against todays fighters but he out fought all styles of his time

I'd say it's hard to make a list because either
A. people just weren't competing so they couldn't be in the spotlight (a HUGE portion of early UFC),

B. There is a distinct difference between old fighters and new that train in most ALL aspects of fighting instead of focusing on one or two like many fighters did early on,

C. All of the different organizations out there now that the sport is big and fighters DO train right thus spreading the talent out too much.

That said I can't name any old fighters because either they haven't been tested or have poor overall training. So I judge on the NOW, and will say that Fedor and Anderson are tied in my books with an edge to Silva due to his genetics giving him very long reach and long legs.

Really breaking down Silva, technically if he doesn't make a mistake he has the perfect body type for his division. He can literally rubber guard or body triangle anyone in the division thus making his ground game that much harder to beat and his striking.....well he's proved it's one of the best around many times. Sorry for the epic post but that's how I see this question.

Bas Rutten is definitely deserving of top 10 all time. When Bas fought, you didn't know if he was going to KO or submit his opponent. He could easily do both.

There aren't a lot of fighters that are just as dangerous on the feet as they are on the ground and he has the respect of so many fighters.

If you leave Bas off the list, then you might as well replace him with Kimbo because it's a bullshit list anyway.

The sport is so young that most of the "greatest of all time" are still very active. I'd like to see where the top guys would rank five years from now.

When you go from fighting in the UFC to fighting cans that usually happens.

I guess Akebono could replace him though
