| Dissapointed with Pride 32s card?
I must say that I think Pride are showing signs of dropping the ball with the cards they've been putting together recently and the upcoming 32 card seems to be the worst of the lot. Personally I see a card full of fights where either the outcome is almost beyond doubt or it's a Pride version of TUF the comeback, which no1 wants to see.
Fedor-Coleman - Surely this will be nothing more than Coleman the human punching bag for Fedor. Coleman in a main event........ how have they let this happen.
Shogun-Randleman - Shogun may save this fight slightly but Randleman is at best poor, for an organisation that on paper should have a deeper talent pool than UFC why are they using some1 like Randleman.
Henderson-Belfort - Vitor is one of the most 1 Dimensional fighters left in MMA today. At best with Henderson in there, may be an exciting finish to the fight with a big KO from some1.
Barnett-Nastula - One of the better match ups that actually could prove to be an entertaining fight.
Butterbean-Hunt (or O'Haire) - Oh dear........................... I fail to see how turning MMA into a freak show is going to put Pride on the map, Sapp was bad this is laughable. Bean was an amusing entertaining freak in boxing, in MMA its just sad, the fact that Pride sees this as a good thing for a PPV is even sadder.
Lawler-Villasenor - Lawler's struggled to regain form, Villa goes to a lot of decisions, probably gona be a decision win grinded out. Yawn.
Baroni-Nishijima - Contender for the worst fight on the card, Baroni is Tank Abbott who learned how to box. He's gassed in most of his fights that have gone past 2 rounds, he's got KO power but the state of the way he swings your hardly ever gona see it. Nish is 0-3 in Pride to the best of my knowledge, so we've got 2 sub par fighters going at it wooopee.
Nakamura-Galbraith - Galbraith seems to be another fighter that will quite happily beat mid card fighters, put him up against any "name" and its over in the first round.
With the last UFC card being pretty weak I was hoping for Pride to pick up the ball and run with it. Sadly they seem to have one upped UFC and put together an even worse card where I can't even seem to find a fight to get excited about. The UFC talent pool obviously lacks depth in places but at least they're putting on the right fights with their talent, sadly Pride isn't doing the same.

First 3 are supposed to be 3 old UFC champions getting pwned...
Be proud of the organization which, "Puts the best fights together" as they say so often. rofl

First of all, did you just notice all this?
Second, your analysis in many of the matchups are amateur at best. Surely, you must be used to watching really bad fighters in the main event from watching UFC.
This is Pride's chance to introduce their stars and this is what they chose to do.
How can you say Lawler fight will be boring? Belfort is one dimensional? He chooses to keep the fight standing but he does have very good BJJ. There are hardly any fighters at Pride who are one dimensional.
Lastly, no one takes the butterbean fight seriosuly. I dont know why you bothered to spend time typing that out.

I laughed at Belfort being "one dimensional" hahahaha.
Ever see his sprawl and brawl vs Ortiz?
Ever see his takedown vs Bobby Southworth and ground and pound? He used JJ to guard pass and then southworth gave up his back and RNC. Pretty slick JJ.

| Well no I didn't just notice this, but its being discussed more on the forums and on the poll so its as good a time as any.
I didn't say the Lawler fight would necessarily be boring but if u took the time to look at Villasenor's last 5 fights, 3 of them have gone to decision. Lawler hasn't been fighting the best opponents since UFC hence the smart money may be on a decision win. As for Belfort having decent BBJ, he didn't show it vs Oritz, Couture or for a more recent fight Overeem and you cannott exactly describe him as a fully rounded fighter.
Butterbean may be a joke, but why have a joke fight on a card like this? I just fail to see the point of it.
Surely this was Pride's chance to distance itself from the UFC, sadly they seem to be putting on a worse version of a UFC show. They've put on some really strong shows in the past, why differ for this one, especially with the chance to pull in so many new fans.

Shogun-Randleman is awesome, Henderson-Belfort is awesome, Lawler-Villasenor is awesome, Baroni-Nishijima is a good style match up, as is Butterbean-Hunt, Barnett-Nastula is a decent one, Coleman-Fedor is a mismatch and Nakamura-Gailbrath who gives a shit. All in all, a good card in my opinion.

But one thing for sure is that we will all watch both organizations....

You're right any1 who really is interested in MMA will probably watch both organisations.
I'm more venting frustration that this is a massive opportunity for Pride to capture a new fan base and extend their coverage to USA and Europe better but there's no fight the likes of Cro Cop vs Wandy or some1 to at least to get the best out of Fedor to really pull people in. There's too many failed UFC names and not enough of using their own talent thats made them stand out in the past. But thats just my opinion.
