You should go play in traffic and never post here again. | You are an idiot. Not only do you use an overused comment "go play in traffic".... but I personally would prefer an exciting ground fight than a stand up. But thats just me.
Do you have an argument against mine? or when you feel someone is wrong, your to dumb to put it into an argument and you just insult them. Do you honestly think Machida.. who has fought a bunch of cans in the UFC.. deserves to be in the top 5 pound for pound? My write up had a bunch of good points in it, and in response all you say is "go play in traffic". nice..

I thought the fight was awesome. Seeing Tito getting smacked and then swinging at thin air so many times made it look like a Bruce Lee or Jet Li movie come to life. I loved seeing Machida repeatedly toss Tito aside during his takedown attempts, throw high kicks, slam him down, etc. It was much more exciting to watch than your typical stand up slugfest, IMO.
As for Machida's opponents, the last 3 (Nakamura, Sokoudjou, and Tito) were all people who've been considered top 10 fighters at some point within the past year.

I thought the fight was exciting It was a chess match for lyoto Constantly moving in and out avoiding titos shots he really outclassed tito most of that fight which was fun for me to watch as well.
lyoto's fights will go to decision more often than not and thats fine by me.
I used to love watching boxing matches going to decisions with two guys trying to pick each other apart tactically.
I wouldn't mind seeing that fight again and if tito can do something differently it might be a different fight all together.
he (tito) showed he could change his strategy with an awesome triangle at the end. Thats what was great with that fight. Tito was getting stuffed and avoided all through the fight and suddenly at the end he changed it up and went for the triangle while on his back.
How can you not like that fight a guy who has made a living GnPing guys to death starts showing signs of life off his back no one saw that coming.

My write up had a bunch of good points in it, and in response all you say is "go play in traffic". nice.. | Machida has beaten Nak, Soko and Tito in the UFC all of whom are far from cans.
Outside the UFC he's beaten BJ Penn and Rich Franklin, all of whom are far from cans. Just on those five fights alone, 30+ percent of his fights were against steep competition and he came through them undefeated.
I think the later that fight got though, Tito started learning Machida's movement a little better and began seeing some success minus that nasty body shot. While I think a rematch is unnecessary, I wouldn't mind watching a rematch. However, with Tito gone, that won't happen.
I'm more interested in seeing Tito fight Lil Nog, Babalu, and Frank Shamrock anyway.

The fight was not boring AT ALL given the judo takedown at the end of round one followed by near fight ending GnP in which Tito was saved by the bell. There was a vicious knee in round 3 that put a "God help me I broke 10 ribs" look on Tito's face, followed by some GnP. And then a beautiful Triangle out of nowhere from Tito that nearly finishes Lyoto.
None of what I just mentioned equals boring. At all. Ever. And those are only highlights for "fans" too ignorant to apprceiate Machida's skill. | 4 moves + 15 mins. of fighting= shithouse fight! |

To tell you guys the truth, i dont read anybody posts who has less than 500 rep, im sure alot of you have good opinions. However, in a Machida thread i can just think of how the sherdog forums have handled this topic, and reading the first few lines of your comments you guys dont seem to know much about MMA at all so ill continue with my discriminatory tendencies based on rep. You guys have no idea how good Machida is, how good of a fighter Machida is. Machida isn't a fighter scratch that, hes a sportsmen, he doesn't go in their buzz berry style to shred your head off, he goes in there to win. I really enjoy Machida and don't think hes boring at all, its so interesting to watch how few mistakes he makes in a fight, and how much he makes fighters pay for their mistakes. Soko made very mistakes in that fight, but Machida always made him pay for his mistakes.
