well if GSP doesnt fight this year, then BJ needs to defend the LW belt one more time. BJ vs Florian in November would be sweet

Someone call a "wah-mbulance." Boo fucking hoo.
I fought four times this year, it's taking a toll on me and the hundreds of thousands of dollars I'm making and the fame I'm getting. WAAAAAHHHH!
Fuck GSP. I was starting to like him a little bit but fuck him again.
Guys like Diaz and Baroni are fighting every other week dude because they're hungry. They want what you have. There are guys in small shows that will fight 3-4 times a night to get what you have so stop with the mental anguish copout bullshit. The title is Penn's anyway so keep it warm and shiny for him.

I really hope BJ stays in his LW home after GSP smacks him around when they fight.

Because when comparing careers, and considering the top fighters in the sport... I immediately think Diaz and Baroni...
If you don't like the fact that GSP treats his body and skills as a business that's understandable, he's definitely not a toss a few beers back before a fight fighter...
Each fighter has a different agenda, GSP is a champion, and he's stated previously he plans on fighting at nothing less than his best when he competes or he won't...
Given the choice, give the guys in the "small" shows a realistic choice between fighting ever other week or fighting every 4.5 months and you let me know how that survey turns out...
Fighters who make the money, tend to invest in themselves. That means taking time off from fighting.
Sound more to me that GSP is holding out for the Canadian venue, but why not take some time to prep for BJ?
But to consider GSP not a hungry, discipline, or smart fighter.... is not only false...
It's extremely fucking stupid...

Fighting 4 times a year against top competition means that you are training at your absolute peak almost year round. That is just begging to end up overtrained or injured.

It's extremely fucking stupid... | It was an emotional and extremely angry tirade on my part and reading that article right after reading the one where Dana trashes Sylvia and Fedor pushed me over the edge a little. I've since calmed down.
I do still feel, GSP should get ready for Penn, and then take a break while the rest of 170 gets sorted out. Win or lose, there are some matchups that need to happen to gather who the next #1 contender will be.

I understand the need to put GSP on a Canadian card, much like putting Bisping on a UK card, or Franklin on an Ohio card. It just makes smart business.
But with that said.
I am sick of these fighters having more and more say in who and where they fight. Oh I won't fight so and so because they are my friend. Or I won't fight so and so in that city for whatever reason... Its your job. Do it.
Do you think if Dwight Freeny got traded to the Titans he wouldn't still go balls to the wall and try to sack Peyton? He would because it is his job. And while on the friend argument, isn't beating your friends at something you both do one of the best things? Especially when one of them is always slightly better at other things?
Grrrrr. I'm sorry but Dana needs to tighten up the contracts to specifically state (in Danaese) "You fucking fight who we fucking tell you you are fucking fighting or you will fucking forfeit 25% of your fucking purse on your next fucking fight. And if you fucking do it twice you little fuck, you lose fucking 50% of your purse. Fuck."

I dont understand where you get off telling not only someone else how to do their job, but someone who is quite possibly the best in the world how to do his job. GSP is doing wonders for MMA in Canada and you dont think he's earned the right to take a couple months off, or perhaps even influence his next venue? Is he not doing enough? Is he not entertaining you? He devotes his entire life to the sport, and entertaining you and you ask for more?
I'm pretty sure if GSP watched whatever job it is you have, he wouldn't come in and tell you to do it more often, and without any say in what you do. His job is to fight under the parameters of his contract. If he's doing that, then he is doing his job.
