I am glad I can say this here.
Fuck you Randy!
Now everyone that argued with me back in the day and said "Randy isn't about money, it's about respect" Here's some more proof for you.
On a side note, is he an idiot to do his math that way? Or does he just think that we are all idiots and will think "wow $34 million dollars? Randy is right. He IS getting screwed! Pay that man whatever he wants!)

Edit: I think I need to wait until someplace else quotes this as well (from the radio show not from mmamania) I am finding it hard to beleive that even Randy believes those numbers
Edit2: Dammit Couture on Fedor vs Randy Purse: $6 to $10 Million Each : MMAPayout.com: The Business of MMA | You stole my thoughts.
If Fedor and Randy both receive the minimum of 6 million each. That is 12 million spent on Randy and Fedor alone. Where the hell is this massive profit?
Let's face it, the U.S. was just truly introduced to Fedor for the first time against Sylvia. His fight with Coleman was not a wake up call for sure.
If Fedor beats the winner of Arlovski/Barnett... then we are looking at some serious cash. Fedor doesn't have the publicity/hype/fan base in the U.S. to pull in these so called numbers. Randy fighting him won't bring them in.

Sheesh... Sounds like Randy has been hanging out with Tito and Jenna... Everything as of late, that has come out of his mouth has been INSANE!!!!
Randy has totally lost his mind, and I feel he believes he is bigger and better than he actually is... Fedor would beat him in Rd 1.

How about this... the winner gets: 4 Million dollars... no additional bonuses...
the loser gets 36 dollar cab fare back to the hotel...
This way it makes everyone honest... it really is about being the best and at the same time it's about the money...
If you lose, then you weren't the best but at least you weren't about the money... cause you got dick...

I think Couture is jumping the gun a bit on $6 million mark.
From a business perspective the MMA business is still in its infancy. I think within the next 5 years you will see MMA sanctioned in all 50 states and the global growth at this point looks to be endless.
The problem is the UFC is the only game in town that is profitable. Affliction is showing some promise, but still far from being near the cailbur of UFC.
Forgive me for the comparision but, you can liken the situation to the WWF/WCW situation in the 90's. That was a very exciting time to be a wrestling fan. WCW was drawing top talent with ridiculous amounts of money. At first WCW was not profitable but shortly after some larger names were aquired, they got peoples attention.
What needs to happen is another comapny needs to come in and have some deep pockets to attract top names from UFC. This will help the fighters make more money and help the sport by providing some competition to build up fighters and create the potential for super-fights.
One could argue that competition is a healthy thing for business, on the other hand it may take years to see fights you really want to see.
Kinda got off topic but, the basic translation of my little post here is, 5 years from now fighters will make a LOT of money, just not ridiculous amounts like boxing. IMO they should have merchandise clauses in the contracts similar to WWE as well. Let the fighters get paid by selling shirts at arena's and online.

Is Randy for real here?!?
He is saying how he RESIGNED and RELINQUISHED the UFC HW title and how he is DONE with the company. THEN he goes on to say that the UFC can make the Fedor fight happen!!!
Mufukka HOW?!? YOU RESIGNED from the company!!!
Is he really wanting the UFC to resign him to ANOTHER contract witht he company with even MORE bonuses and incentives?!? I love Randy, but he has lost his damn mind here. How are you going to walk away from the UFC like that THEN expect them to RESIGN you again for one fight when you won't even defend the title you won when you resigned previously?!?
Randy on that good stuff. He's not gonna pass his pre/post fight drug test.

What would be priceless is if the UFC signed Fedor and then told Randy he can come back for $50,000 a fight or stay "resigned".
