You're right!

Who could argue with such an intelligent, thought out statement such as that?

I'm curious of how many of the people who say ufc has better promotion/production live outside of the states.

It is also more easy to Sub a Fighter that is trying to strike from insde your guard than it is when he elbows you. I would also like say Pride seems to favor Ju Jitsu more as UFC seems to favor "real" wrestling more (pinning to the Cage and Top mount considered dominant positioning in UFC)

so a big complaint is some people dont like elbows because of the cuts? i think elbows make it interesting doesnt seem like much could hurt worse than the point of elbow to the face. i know the debate on lhw and hw divisions in ufc being light at moment but they have alot of talent on way up which will be superstars of tomorrow right?

Another major difference is Pride has a 10 min first round and two five minute rounds. Which allows grapplers more time to set up a sub attempt. The kicks and knees also advantagous for a striker to avoid being consumed by the takedown. Both are completly different physical enviroments to be manipulated though.

Pride is also judged a lot better than UFC...isn't it judged by attempts to end the fight? I also forgot to mention I love how they fine you for not pressing action with the cards in Pride, it takes the lay and pray people away from Pride generally. UFC should try and adopt some sort of system like that, although if they did some fighters would receive a $0 paycheck because of the lowass pay they give out.

Pride might suck in the states then because they don't allow elbow strikes on the ground and no kicking a downed opponent is a USA thing
