| Tito lost to Chuck because of an eye poke excuse
Let me try to understand what just about every Tito fan is stating as to the reason Tito lost to Chuck the last fight. The eye poke is the reason Chuck won?? First it is a fight and well shit happens sometimes. If Tito would of poked Chuck in the eye by mistake then I'm sure he would of used that to his advantage. I still dont' see how the outcome would of been any different. If you remember Tito stated that he was going to try to stand with Chuck. So regardless of an eye poke he would of still lost trying to stand with Chuck. The reason Tito fans are stating he is going to beat Chuck in December is by taking Chuck down, endurance and GnP. When that is a fighters strategy you know that is easier said than done when it's against a fighter like Liddell. Chuck has excellent take down defense as we've seen him utilize against many wrestlers. Even when he is taken down he's like a frickin cork in water and pops back up. Keep in mind if Tito keeps attempting a takedown he needs to watch out for a knee or kick... just look at what happened to Babalu. I'll give yall that Tito has more endurance I'm sure but it's not like Chuck is a 300 pound fat guy... the guy trains 3 times a day. I dont say that Tito beating Chuck is impossible, hell anything is possible in MMA, it only takes 1 small slip up. Going off stats and both fighters history of wins which one looks more impressive... Liddell of course, that is why Tito is the underdog going into this rematch fight. If I was a betting man(which I am), I'm going with Liddell on this fight via KO in 2nd or 3rd.

I am a Tito fan and I don't blame Tito's loss on the eye poke. Like you said, stuff happens. It was the endless rain of punched after the eye poke that stopped him. Granted I have seen many refs stop a fight for an eye poke and let the guy recover and get checked out. That didn't happen in this case, which was just unlucky. Liddell just outright one that fight. Tito is the under dog in this fight, but I think that he will pull this one out. It should be good. The thing about Liddell is he has alot of power but that power has to be landed to do any good. Tito must just try his best to stay away from the solid shots. And that is easier said than done since Liddell throws punches at crazy angles. As you can see I am a fan of both guys, but I would like to see Tito win this one. It would help out the LHW division a little if it did happen.

I'm not gonna bet against Chuck until he fights a guy like Wandy who is just as dangerous on his feat. I think Chuck wins a decision against Tito because Tito will be too afraid to go to sleep and will be cautious and limit his takedown attempts.

Obviously Tito has the best chance of any LHW's in the UFC of beating Chuck right now....but I don't think it's enough. But then again....with Matt Hammil in Team Punishment, that has to improve Tito's wrestling a lot, and maybe he will be able to take him down and pound him...stranger things have happened, but I can't bet against Chuck.

Tito is one dimensional just like all other UFC fighters are. Unless you can somewhat strike, you have no chance against Chuck. Tito has no stand up and unless he can take down Chuck, Tito has no chance.

Tito has to first take Chuck down which I dont really see happening and if it does he has to keep him there.

Does Tito know any submissions, besides a rear choke? Seems like every fight he's in, it's just basic takedown and punch and not much else. How would he do against a Noguira, Barnett, or Heath Herring?

Tito is a mean MF'r, he trains with Dean Lister here in SoCal so don't assume just because he likes the GnP it means he cannot do submissions.
Chuck is a better Striker and can stay off the ground. That's a pretty hard combination to beat.
But I agree that all of UFC needs to up its overall skills to be in the caliber of Pride.
