I feel for Riggs, he seems like a really nice family guys. But WW in the UFC is going to be a tough grind for him. I don't see him winning to many fights. The worst part is the UFC will probably give him a tough fight right of the bat.

I think if he relaxed and was loose he would see more favorable outcomes in his fights.

I don't like Riggs at 170. I always thought he was just to big to make the cut and not be completely drained. And he is going to try and get in the UFC by fighting a 170? I mean he would be better suited to get there by competing at MW bc they could always use more MW's. Quote:

i don't think he'll be able to put much of a dent in the ufc ww division. even if he has improved, the beatdown he recieved from hughes is a bad omen for what could happen against some of the current top-tier talent, and that would even include hughes if he wasn't going to retire.

I like him as a fighter and i hope he can open a can of whoop ass at 170 but in the UFC he will never be the champ. There will be some pretty bad ass fights tho.

His last 4 fights have been at MW. He hasn't fought at 170 since the Sanchez fight in 2007. | Agreed when he fought Hughes he was so drained from cutting weight that he didn't even make, he fell to a ridiculous half guard kamora because he was to drained to defend it........But he's got talent and size, if he can cut the weight right his size could be very hard to deal with in the WW division.

Its good that he wants bigger fights tho, I gotta respect that | Good call, I like Joe Riggs but that's it in a nutshell.

It will be interesting to see how this turns out. I will pull for him but don't see him being a force in the ww division rite now...
