Anderson definitely needs to fight at 205 Lbs, as he will only blast through everyone at 185 IMO....
WAR ANDERSON! | True! But why risk putting Chucks life on lifeline? Especially without him fighting the top at 205 now? We have Rampage (hopefully), Shogun, forest, and possibly a rematch between him and wandy. Chuck only has little to go before the critics start talking shit about his age (if there not already), and as well his own body is already past prime?
On the flip side, Silva, if he looses will be considered a man who just have not fought the Comp that he should have, due to a week MW division?
There are many ways you can define this, but I also agree and see your point as-well. IMOP, I say lets get it on, and screw the future! |

There is no real benefit for Chuck to fight Anderson beyond bragging rights.. it certainly won't put him closer to the title.. we all know Chuck is going to fight Forrest next if he takes out Evans.. it is what the UFC wants...

I'd love to see either of those fights. Though there's not a lot to gain for Chuck, I'm sure it would be a great fight.

If for some freak reason Silva is out, why not Liddell/Machida? Not try to start a fire, but I'd like to see that fight. Just sayin.

the positives of this fight outweigh the negatives by a large margin, for starters Chuck is your biggest draw and Anderson is your most dominant, so having the too fight will only expose your most dominant force too more people. If by some chance Chuck pulls if off OF course it helps his career, what is more impressive a win of Rashad oh wait that doesnt even need to be asked. If Anderson wins that sets him up as not only THE fighter in all of the UFC but a legit contender for the 205 title as well. The only negative I see would be this would put a Chuck/Forrest fight into major jeopardy and that fight is the only one I can imagine the UFC could put on to do better numbers than a Chuck/Anderson fight. But eventhough It would probably do less numbers wise the push given to Anderson after beating Chuck would be much more valuable long term. Not sure if that came out exactly right but anyways I really hope we see this fight.

This fight ain't gonna happen, at least not that soon. After Chuck KOs Rashad, he's going to fight Forrest for the title; everyone knows that.

I agree that this fight has little chance of happening. Chuck will detroy Rashad with a highlight reel knockout and then probably get a title shot
however, they do need a filler for the NYE show if bj penn/GSP wont be happening. and IMO Machida should get the next title shot if he beats Thiago so then they will already have a number one contender in LHW.
Who knows... It doesnt seem that illogical to try to ride Chuck for all he's worth before he's out the door. This would be one of the biggest fights ever and would do monster numbers in ppv buys imo. And if Chuck wins they will give him a shot at Machida (who will have the title).
This fight could actually benefit Chuck greatly if he wins imo. and it wont do too much harm to Silva imo if he loses. He is fighting above his natural weight against one of the best ever in that weight class
I certainly would love to see this fight
