|  Nate Quarry breaks orbital bone

Quarry was apparently attending a party where friends were hitting golf balls. Quarry was walking behind the group when he was hit directly in his left eye by the backswing of a young woman, breaking his orbital bone.
“I’m just glad it was me and not some kid or other woman,” Quarry told FCFighter. “We had grown men swinging these clubs. If it would have hit a kid or a woman, it would have smashed their face.”
Quarry is looking forward to participating in a proposed event in Portland (his home state), but must first focus on healing up.

That happened to an old buddy of mine while he was on workmen's comp. Good luck explaining that one to the doctors about your "previous head injury."
It's good that Quarry is ok once he's healed up, no permanent damage to his dome.

That happened to me when i was about 16 yrs old. I was caddying to make some money and got hit right in the temple by a back swing...down I went. The golfer got mad and called me a "rabbit", which pretty much means i was a caddy that had no idea what the hell i was doing. My dad had to take me home.
Hope Quarry get better soon. His fights are usually pretty exciting.

The guy comes back from spinal fusion surgery, then gets sidelined again by a golf club, lol. Good to hear he'll be ok, though.
Wonder who they'll have lined up for him in the fall?

Cracked orbital bone takes more than just a few months to heal. Randy Couture cracked his against Pedro Rizzo and was out a year. The orbital bone seperates your eye socket from the sinus cavities. If effects all sorts of stuff including breathing and vision.

He wants to fight in Portland??? Canada wants him back !!!! Never before have I ever seen a crowd so against someone at the beginning of a match be for that same person at the end of the match. Nate is Canada's guy after fighting that dope in UFC 83
