Actually, no he might not be there since he'll probably still be touring with Black Label Society and Korn in October and also he's gonna be working with Vinnie Paul to step in for the late Dimebag Darrell on a Pantera reunion tour. But who knows, maybe Zakk will squeeze it in....I know I sure hope he does. Either way, Ozzy will be a major step up from Megadeth.

Considering it's a one off concert date, Ozzy will be sure to have Zakk Wylde by his side. Zakk doesn't miss Ozzy's shows. Even when both Black Label and Ozzy were performing Ozzfest at the same time, Zakk performed with both his bands. Accomodations will be made for him to be there that night, bet on it.

As for a Pantera reunion, IF it ever happens, and that's a BIG, BIG IF, it's still only a one night show. That won't take any of his time away.

These things just don't go together imo, at least not for the viewer at home.

I respectfully disagree. My only gripe with the DREAM shows are the long intermissions where you get to see Kenny Rice flap his gums.

I'd much rather see a musical act in between the intermissions. They're going to have the intermissions anyway, might as well have some entertainment in the meantime.

It's no different than the half time shows at the superbowl.

Actually I go to Ozzfest every year (except this year since it never came to Michigan) and I've seen Ozzy alot of times without Zakk. And from what Zakk said in his interview about the Pantera thing, (I can't remember what radio show it was, but Metal Sanaz was the guest) Vinnie Paul is trying to plan an actual tour, with a handfull of lesser known bands opening for them. But with the bad blood still brewing between Vinnie and Phil, (and with Phil in Europe with Down and Metallica) he just didn't see how it's gonna work with somebody else on vocals and I have to agree.

But anyway, you may be right. Something this big would definately have to draw Zakks attention and he did perform on the Black Rain album which is more than likely what Ozzy will be performing. I can even see him moving some dates around if he had to since this could draw more cash for him than a Black Label Society show. But damn, if he couldn't make it wouldn't that be awesome if Ozzy got the rest of the crew from Sabbath to play? I know it won't happen, but damn what if....

I agree Ozzy is a great perform who will appeal to alot of different people. Everyone must know at least one ozzy song or sabbath song. Plus his live show is energetic and fun. I think it will be a great mix.

Dude be fair, it's only 847 times better than Megadeth.

In all seriousness, I actually like Megadeth and thought they did a good job. Still though this is Ozzy. I could only be happier if it were Rammstein, Rob Zombie, or Slipknot and the chances of those happening are slim to none.

I personally dont think they should have any band at all but if they are going to get someone then Ozzy is a good choice

I just dont think its smart for them. No one is going to buy the ppv just because Ozzy wll be there. Having a band does nothing imo. It's just a waste of money.

and you can bet that they are paying The Prince of Darkness the big bucks

Not necessarily. They sponsor him so one of his stipulations as a sponsored musician may require appearances. They could use this as an appearance. I wouldn't be surprised by that at all.
