| Ozzy Osbourne to perform at "Affliction: Day of Reckoning" Ozzy Osbourne to perform at "Affliction: Day of Reckoning" | MMAjunkie.com Quote:
"Heavy metal legend and former Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne will perform at Affliction Entertainment's upcoming October event.
Affliction: Day of Reckoning" takes place Oct. 11 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. A heavyweight bout between Andrei Arlovski and Josh Barnett headlines the event.
Osbourne had been rumored as a possible performer at Affliction's debut event in May, but Megadeth was instead booked for the gig.
During that May 31 event in Aneheim, Calif., Megadeth performed during spots throughout the show, which included a set to lead off the pay-per-view portion of the broadcast. While the performance received mixed reviews with the at-home audience, the concert was a hit with the in-arena crowd.
Osbourne is one of many musicians under contract to Affliction Clothing. The recent reality-TV star has won multiple Grammy awards while selling nearly 100 million albums -- with hits such as "Crazy Train," "Mama, I'm Coming Home" and "Mr. Crowley" -- throughout his four-decade career.
| HAHA! Yes! This will be amazing! I can't wait to see his performance

I wanted this to happen at banned cause he is one of the only bands i can enjoy while enjoying another show but after the first show we know its just doesnt belong. Take the money they pay him and invest on better show production.

Am I the only one sick of this type of bullshit? MMA is exciting enough. We don't need Megadeth or Ozzy or any other band to make it exciting. The only way this can help Affliction's buyrate is just by creating buzz about the event, and I'm not sure it will even do that much. Nobody who wasn't already going to buy a ticket is going to see this news and be like, "Well, now that Ozzy's playing, I have to go."
People who want to see Ozzy in concert will go to Ozzfest. People who want to watch MMA will go to watch MMA. Perhaps I am underestimating the small niche market of Metal fans who like their concerts split up with fights in between songs, but I don't think so.

I don't care about the music either, but it doesn't make any difference to the show.

His live show is amazing too. This is great.
