I would like to pose the question, Do you think that Griffin vs Southworth would have done for MMA what Griffin vs Bonnar 1 did for MMA?

I think not but who knows.

Bonnar will be out another 1-4 months.

I like Bonnar and I hope to see him come back towards the end of the year or early 09.

He's an entertaining fighter to watch. I hope he returns soon. I think a Bonnar/Shogun fight would be great for both fighters.

Bonnar will be back soon... the guy is still recovering up and I can't wait to see him get back in there.

The guy is a lot of fun to watch. He is going to come in a little rusty I imagine, but once he gets going, it will be good.

I could see him coming back and fighting Jardine again...

Bonner is a great warrior...........
Besides the Griffin fight (#1), Bonner has never really impressed me that much.
But after his suspention, he looked a lot better aginst Nickels and Schaffer. Hope after he is healed up, he gets better like he did when he was out that last time, and then he will really be a force to be reconed with.

Plus now Bonner and Forrest are both training out of Extreme Couture. So a third fight is unrealistic because how do you decide who continues to train there and who goes somewhere else?

Why would Bonnar get a title shot after being out for so long and not really having any quality wins on his record as of late. I think Forrest would destroy him in a 3rd fight. He could do great in WEC if they were keeping the 205 division. I'd love to see him fight Houston Alexander as his return fight.

Southworth likes to throw hands too so you never know. Even had it been Bobby and Forrest in the finale, in all likelihood, Forrest and Bonnar's paths would have crossed.
