All of his legal drama aside and the specter of old age gaining more solidity over his shoulder every day, there aren't a lot of fighters who are better at tying up fighters and using the cage than Randy. I don't think Couture has a lot of chance to actually stop Werdum, but I think he's an odds-on favorite to win a decision.

I see where youre coming from and I agree that probably the only way Randy can win that fight is by decision but I think Werdum would win this fight via submission.

Randy doesnt have that great of stand up. Since Werdum has been training with Chute Boxe and has been very aggressive as of late, not to mention his reach advantage, I would give him the edge in stand up. I dont think Randy would stand with him very long.

Randy's obvious advantage would be his wrestling. When he's in danger on the feet, he would probably tie Werdum up and get a takedown.

I think we all know how good Werdum is on the ground....

I just cant see really where Couture would have an edge. Yea I guess he could tie up Werdum and hold him against the cage for the whole fight.

Werdum is still super dangerous off of his back. and if he gets a reversal or happens to take Randy down, then its over.

Werdum by submission imo

Couture by decision. I don't think he could finish Brock.

Default its not that i dont like randy

i like him, but all i hear people talking about fedor-randy...what??randy cant even beat chuck any more and he thinks his the best becouse he beat silvia and gonzaga..saying the only thing that makes sence is a fight with fedor..if he had 5 straight wins over top class heavyweights, yea give him a shot at the best heavyweight fighter inn the world..not because his getting old.i think randy is in the top 10 spot in the heavyweight division..

i would like too start a new thread..name 9 people you think would beat randy 2out of 3 times, or even name 9 fighters thats better than randy now..like too here what you all think about that

I picked Brock. He is a better wrestler and is stronger and faster.

Randy is the far superior game planner.

However, I do not think Randy will be able to sub Brock.

So, I have Brock winning a UD.

But I could see Randy winning if Brock's chin is weak...which is the X-factor in my opinion.

Funny ! but I agree it could be very not-funny for Randy . This would look like Marc Coleman fighting Jens Pulver . But they're right, Randy would have a plan (and the best plan would be to avoid being squashed or broken ). If he can do that I guess he has a good chance of winning .
