this is a VERY solid card. nice to see fickett, the lauzon-horodecki fight should be exciting, rizzo-rothwell could be a slugfest, and rogero try to avenge one of his 3 losses. and of course AA-Barnett superfight. this one's deffinitely a little more for the hardcore fan than the first one, but really, i dont know if this one will sell less than the first card, its not like barnett and fedor are big US draws. come to think of it, i might actually find this one a little more interesting than the first one, considering the outcomes of the fights aren't pretty obvious before they even take place.
this might be a "dip" in quaity/name fighters from the first one, but think about the third affliction card this sets up, it'll be bigger than the first. depending on the outcome of the fights it'll probably roughly look something like this.
fedor vs winner barnett/AA
Sylvia vs lebanner(hopefully!!)
Pedro rizzo vs AA(if he loses...if not maybe buentello or nelson)
Babalu vs Tito(or Rogero/vladamir winner if no tito)
Rogero/vladamir winner vs ???
lindland vs belfort
Roy Nelson vs Paul buentello
Ben rothwell vs Mike pyle
Horodecki vs drew fickett
alexsander vs monson/gary goodridge/bob sapp
travis lutter vs falinko vitalle????
they set matches up right and they have a STELLAR third card on their hands. that could really be the one that has the gigantic buyrate they're looking for. you have the second biggest heavyweight fight of all time (second to cro-cop/fedor), make lindland-belfort for a middleweight title, babalu vs tito for a lhw belt...and during the advertising throw in "if labanner can get past sylvia, is a potential superfight with fedor in his sight!?"..
forget about the first affliction, that has potential to be the "best fight card ever".
