Lesnar is an idiot.. he beats herring and then getting a shot at couture(a shot he doesn't deserve...)? NOW he thinks he's some kind of top 10 fighter? please. lesnar is good.. but he isn't that good.

Reasons why brock said that
1. Brock understands that this is a business and building up a fight sells fights
2. Fedor hasn't fought anyone decent for two years , i mean come on he fought tim sylvia which is like a better version of eddie sanchez im not sayin that brock would beat fedor by anymeans because fedor without a doubt is top two in the world p4p. But Fedor needs to be the champion of the best company and in a cpl years probably the best company....if fedor comes to the ufc then they will have leverage to get AA back and possibly barnett and rothwell and the heavyweight division will be where it needs to be

It might have been on another site, because I can't find it now...but I remember posting that the only thing more pathetic than the UFC awarding Mir a title shot would be if they awarded one to Lesnar.
The UFC HW division is officially a joke.

rh | You are by far 100% right. To award a title shot to an unproven Lesnar (yes i said it. A loss against Mir and a horrible fight against a #2/#3 contender does not automatically give him a title shot.) makes me wanna throw up.
I seriously hope Couture takes this in an impressive fashion just to take away the hype that is brock lesnar. Yeah he has size sure, but didn't Zulu have that too? And we all know what happened when Zulu met Fedor.
What makes sense to me(and i'm a fucking idiot) is Werdum vs Randy and than the winner face Nog/Mir to which the first title defense would be against winner of Kongo/Lesnar.
THAT MAKES SENSE!
If I were werdum I'd have a lot of questions for UFC management.

Lesnar is the biggest, strongest, most powerful douche on the market.
I have to agree with Badluck, giving Lesnar this opportunity is a slap in Frank Mir and Noguiera's face. Couture acted like a bitch, then he gets to come back and resume his position? He should definately fight Verdum first, then, Nog/Mir for the title. Brock should have one more fight against Kongo, then the loser of Nog/Mir, then the title shot.

Well so it's settled.... Lesnar is now the heel. Lesnar knows what he's doing acting and saying the things he does. He wants people to hate him. He wants people to wish he gets destroyed in the Octagon... that = big $$$. I hope Randy puts him over one knee and spanks his ass.
Lesnar is a dangerous guy for anyone, but his inexperience will be exposed.
THE UFC HW division is a joke. The UFC knows this. Exactly why the UFC is even considering having Fedor non exclusively.

Brock needs to stay focused and not get ahead of himself. Lots of confidence is good to have, but cockyness and confidence are two different things. I wish the best for Brock, as I do any mma fighter, but he needs to just stay focused on what's on his plate and not what's on someone other's. The UFC is not the WWE.
