I don't quite agree with all your views, but such a well though out and written up topic will always get a good rep from me. More topics/threads like these make this forum worth visiting.

But yes, i'm not happy that Randy is fighting brock. It's bullshit. Big nog PLEADED to fight him, and Randy, i think(maybe nog isn't interim anymore), still is the title holder. Makes sense to unify them. I can understand they want him in the ring asap, and that nog already has a fight coming up, so maybe this is the reason behind the decision to make randy fight that asshole?

No disrispect to you guys but I think some of you need to take a chill pill. The UFC is a bussiness that needs to keep growing to make mma more popular. As a bussiness they make decisions like TUF, merch, videogames and fights that will get a lot of revenue. Tell me other org right now in mma that's making money? You can't right? Well the UFC started like that, they lost a lot of millions before TUF came out and it was a hit. Like it or don't like it mma has grown because of the UFC, this sport is not for your eyes only like it was in the 90s and early 2000s, now the casuals are getting into it. If we want the organization and the sport of mma to keep growing we should support the product, though we may not agree with what is happening right now it is a bussiness move, love it or hate it its just about the money. It's easy to whine about it, but for every move like this we get other fights that hardcore and casual fans can expect. Be glad Randy is back at least after this fight if he wins that is he gets a shot against Mir or Nog, and after that he gets his wish probably.

Glad to see not everyone has lost their fucking mind. UFC is a business, a very fuckin successful business. Lesnar fighting Couture doesn't mean they are the next WWE. I think the whining around the subject has just about reached my final nerve.

Love it or hate it they are still heading uphill. Ever year they tackle more and more.

I know some are pissed about Brock getting title shot but this is a "business" and they know they will bank off a fight like Randy/Brock. Once again, it is a "business", that's b-u-s-i-n-e-s-s. If Brock is not worthy than that will reflect in his fights. Just let it play out and see what happens. There are still great things to come as well looking past Brock/Randy such as delivering a Penn/GSP 2.

Casual fans don't care about the business side or the example being set. They just want to see big names fighting and drama behind the scenes. There's a reason why Kimbo is so popular or the Tito-Chuck feud was so hot. Drama sells tickets.

It may piss off a few hardcore fans but at the end of the day, all of us will still watch the PPV and crowding the forums talking about it.
